We made it to the west coast!
We may not be wearing bathing suits and swimming, but the coast of California is beautiful! We stayed at Hearst San Simeon State Park for four nights and soaked up some beach time. We also visited the Big Sur area.
One of the surprises is that this is the time of year the Elephant Seals come up on the beach, give birth, and mate. These things are huge! The males can grow to 5,000 pounds. We got to see the moms nursing pups, the males fighting over territory and well, lots of screwing.
