The weather has been beautiful here with sunny skies and nice temperatures. We were pleased to hear from our Miami friend Emy that she was planning a trip to Seattle with her group of friends, Hazel, Judith and Ed. They do a lot of traveling together and planned this trip to the PNW as the first trip since COVID. They came up to Anacortes for a day and we had a great time sailing.
The Anacortes Yacht Club has been active and we have been participating in the Friday happy hour and crewing on a friend’s boat for the Wednesday night races. We got our bartender licenses so now we can take our turn volunteering as bartenders at the club.
I can’t believe they trust us to run the bar!?! We enjoy the all volunteer nature of the club and are glad to take our turn behind the bar. Generous pours to all!

How to make new friends in one easy lesson…serve them alcohol!
Good to read and see all the new posts. I got behind as I’m busy building an Irish pub in my basement: so come bartend here this Fall.
Cool video of the seal pup too.
Well, I think we can both breathe a bit easier this hurricane season, huh?
Carla’s hauled out, Randy and Carol moved over to Dinner Key, and John on Whispering Jessie is making his way back from Key West after Fred blew past. He has Ray on board…Valiant 40 folks stick together.
One thing both marinas have in common is fresh seafood…yum!
Looking forward to more news.
Always welcome here in smokey Denver,
Kev
