We left the gulf coast of Mississippi yesterday morning for a long drive to Houston.

Yum, had some fantastic Cajun food along the way! Made it to Houston and exchanged our leaky tent for a different one. Keeping fingers crossed. Currently in the booming boarder town of Del Rio doing laundry. Heading out tomorrow for a week at Big Bend National Park.

I just jumped ahead to the tent photo near the ghost town…is that the new one?
Jog my memory: didn’t you purchase a new standing room tent for this trip?
How’s the new vehicle, mileage, comfort, etc.?
Did you hear about the iguanas falling from the trees? We were on the first tee at 44 degrees.
We’re doing a tailgate for Super Bowl, Doug calls it Sailgate. Where will you be, and who do you like?
Also, re: Bahamas, I’ve had to bite the bullet and purchase a RIB and 9hp motor. The little hard shell dink just wasn’t going to cut it for swimming and snorkeling. Looking forward to sharing lobster with you guys on the beach.

Hi Kevin, yes we got a new tent to replace the new tent. So far so good. We have had a lot of wind but no rain to test it. It is big enough to stand up in which is nice. The Rav 4 is still going strong and perfect for the trip. Looking forward to seeing your new dinghy purchase and the Bahamas trip!
