Since we have been social distancing, we have not had a chance to really be a part of the community as all the sailing clubs, breweries etc are closed. Regardless, I have been doing my best to integrate into the local society.

Hi guys, I’m liking that side-to tie up there. How’s that in different wind conditions?
Looks like cruising grounds galore up North towards Vancouver and beyond. Not to mention skiing next Winter. Thanks for the photos and posts, as we all navigate the lockdown in our own ways. Denver opened up the golf course where my brother works, and I’m busy demo and remodeling my basement. Let’s reschedule the Bahamas whenever possible, okay? (Curious about your decision on the dink and outboard). Ride on…best social distancing exercise going.

Hi Kevin – The side tie up in this case is a bit of a challenge since we are also backed up to a boat that is docked perpendicular. We have learned how to dock and depart using spring lines and lines at midship. A strong wind blowing us into the dock can make it difficult to get out. Lots of great cruising and we are looking forward to it. Glad to hear you are busy with the never ending projects. We purchased a West Marine dinghy with hard inflatable floor and a 6 hp Tohatsu outboard. Looking forward to the Bahamas trip whenever we can reschedule. If you get bored, come on up with your camper and bike!
