It has been a busy fall. We started out with a trip to the east coast to celebrate both Erik and my mom’s birthdays. Erik’s mom turned 90. We flew to Connecticut for a visit and had a great birthday party with her. She invited her tennis friends. Yes, I did say tennis friends, and at age 90, Erik’s mom is one of the younger members of the group. They came over for a highly competitive game of croquet in the back yard. We also had a BBQ and cake. Lots of fun!

Then on to Central Florida to visit my mom and dad for her 79th birthday. We got to see their new villa which was nice. We went to the Tampa area to visit my sister and her family where we celebrated my mom’s birthday. We had a special dinner, cake and fun presents.

After all the birthday celebrations, we got to spend a few nights with my sister and her husband Mark. It was great spending time with them, especially now that they are both retired! They took us to the beach and we enjoyed swimming and hanging out which was a treat.

We returned to the west coast and didn’t have much time to rest before jumping into action to get S/V Callooh! Callay! hauled out for bottom paint and hull polishing/waxing. We hauled her out at Skyline Marina where we used to live before relocating to Cap Sante. We dodged rain all week, but managed to get the job done. It was especially challenging since we could not live aboard during the work. Thankfully, we were able to camp at nearby Washington Park which ended up being quite fun. Thanks to friends Larry and Marla for loaning us ladders! We also were able to hook up with friend Terry who has his boat is at Skyline Marina for enchiladas and margaritas.

S/V Callooh! Callay! is happy to have new bottom paint and refinished hull. Hopefully no more haul outs for a few more years!

Hi guys, catching up.on your travels and adventures. Come over to Denver as you find your way Eastward. Still building the Irish pub in the basement.
Plenty of room and the Murphy bed is functional.
Stay safe, and check Covid levels periodically as a precaution. We’ve all been boosted, thank goodness.
Good luck, Kev
