We had to run some big-city errands last week, so why not check out some big-city art? The Seattle Art Museum is closed for social distancing, but their Olympic Sculpture Park is always open for a wander with the rocks.

Even if the symphony hall is closed, you can still hear a sonata.

A blue jawa enjoys the music.

The library is closed, but you can still enjoy the ancient Greeks.

The park is also a good place to go birding.

This one is called Eagle.

There’s some stuff.

The shadow is not part of the sculpture.

And more.

The white letters spell “love” and “loss”.

Some don’t seem quite finished.

Almost a square.

I didn’t know the museum had a di Suvero sculpture. It’s much better looking than the orange girder sunburst construction I grew up with in Milwaukee, affectionately known as the asshole at the end of Wisconsin Avenue. Check Google images and you’ll see why that is. How’s the arm healing?

Very cool. Hope you’re doing okay in the snow.
