We finished up enough boat projects to finally get off the dock. We joined the Anacortes Yacht Club and are excited to become involved in the community. They have been closed down due to COVID, but organized a socially distanced rendezvous in Blind Bay on the north end of Shaw Island.

We spent two nights at Blind Bay, then sailed Callooh! Callay! to the Orcas Island Yacht Club to take advantage of one of the hundreds of free reciprocal moorage agreements with AYC. We are currently in Friday Harbor enjoying their nice marina.

So…someone(s) placed “treasures” on buoys tethered to GPS locations in Blind Bay?
Now that is some serious pre-planning. WOW, they’ve set the bar pretty high for CGSC, huh? Impressive, and you guys will fit right in.
All is well here in Denver (touch wood), but kinda hot (not Florida hot, but still). I’m busy remodeling the basement.
You’re always welcome…well, we all know that’s not happening for a while. I had a trip to Paris, and Nowegian Air just refunded the ticket without any input from me. Sheesh !

Hi Kevin – Glad all is well in Denver and sounds like the hurricane may be a dud. We are anchored in Fisherman Bay at Lopez Island next to a large aluminum hull sailboat that made us think of you. Stay safe!

You two may have seen the brief WhatsApp discussion last week about possibly rescheduling the Exumas flotilla for later this year. That was before the Bahamas prohibited any visitors from the US just a couple days ago. I guess we’re back to wait-and-see again. Stay safe!

Hi John – I don’t think we are connected to the WhatsApp conversation but glad to hear the discussion of the trip continues. We are still excited about going but I think the reality is that it will need to be sometime next year given the COVID situation. Hope you are doing well and watching the hurricane which sounds like it should not be an issue for Miami.
